Trip breakdown: Shin-Osaka, Shinagawa, Narita

Natural Japanese beauty
June 25th-26th:

Early on Monday morning (25th) we left Hiroshima for Shin-Osaka. We planned to meet the Tomita family for lunch. The Kawases had met them at IHOP-KC a few years ago. The Tomita family had just recently moved back to Japan and we were able to check up on them and see how they were doing. It was really fun to have lunch with Sumiyo and her family. We ate at this amazing restaurant inside the Osaka train station.

The three boys-Trouble! =)              Most of us in the picture at lunch! =)
Sumiyo and her three sons                            The whole gang
(her husband had to head back to work)

Later after riding several more hours on a the train we traveled to Shinagawa where we met Keith Pratt. He is an old family friend of the Kawases and is an international exchange student living in Japan. It was good to get to talk with him over dinner and hear how his heart is doing while living in Japan. We were also able to pray over him and bless him in this season of his life.

Searching for an Asian in a sea of Asians! It's like playing Find Waldo! =)
The train station was really crowded.
Have you ever heard of the "Lounge Foodium"?       This billboard made no sense. It has a
Neither have I. =)                                                computer, two men's faces in a heart,
a plane, and the words 'very much'.
                                                                                    Hahaha.....what?????
                                            Dinner with Keith Pratt
American picture!                  Japanese picture! (peace sign)

Then we continued on to Narita, in Tokyo but nearer the airport. That night we were a little crazy and slap happy as we went to go get snacks before bed time. =)
"It's a convenient store.....pose! I can't see you, get into the light....that's it! Pose!" =) Haha....all the Japanese faces were exactly like Kirsti's....bewilderment, awe, and complete shock. =)
I caught her taking a picture, so I posed. =)

On Tuesday morning (26th) we decided to do a little omyiagi shopping before our plane left that evening. It was really cool to see a lot of the traditional shops and get to see more of the city and people. That evening we boarded our plane bound for Taiwan.
We finally have wifi! =) Contacting home....                       All of our luggage
Going shopping in downtown Narita for lunch and few souvenirs. Walked through a beautiful park to get there.
My way of awesomely pushing luggage! =)                  Goodbye Japan!

Japan was so good to come back to once again. It is encouraging to look back and see the ways God moved in and through us in this nation over these two weeks. I look forward to the day I will be able to see this country again and the smiling familiar faces! God, pour out your spirit on Japan and send revival!
